Tuesday’s Tasteless Poetry: Episode VI

Illumination

A light in my darkness

You illuminate

And I rejoice.

Blinded by your brilliance

Β The stars disappear from my view.

And I weep.

Bereft of those cold orbs,

The night shudders and dies.

Fucking Security Light.

  1. oh dear, working the night shift really bites, although it hasn’t hurt your creativity one bit, my dear.

I’m glad that you liked it. – Evyl

  2. Ahhh, now I know how those bastard possums think whenever they trip the sensor garden light πŸ˜‰

Bastard possums are right. Damn those are some ugly critters. – Evyl

  3. πŸ˜† Love it! I think I’m officially hooked.

Thanks darlin’. I appreciate that. – Evyl

  4. You called me darlin’ *bats lashes* do I detect a Texan accent?

More than just a trace. – Evyl

  5. Thought so πŸ˜‰

You have great intuition. – Evyl

  6. You had me going there for a moment thinking you wrote something really deep! But that’s okay, I like having the giggle at the end better.

Actually it started out as a more serious piece for another site. But I grew bored with it and twisted it. I prefer it that way. It was a bit too sappy to be serious. – Evyl

  7. Not really… I just recognize a fellow Texan when I see him. πŸ™‚

I thought that you were from Texas. We Texans do have a certain way of thinking that is somewhat distinctive. Although I am guessing that you are in a different region than I. – Evyl

  8. “Fucking security light” BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Nice…
Thanks for stopping by my blog. You’ll be on my “blogs to check in on” list from now on. Oh, and you didn’t miss Slap A Moron Day – it’s not until July 1st, so make sure you keep up with SAM Day news and join in on the festivities!

I’m glad that you liked it. Damn it’s great that I didn’t miss Slap A Moron Day. I will definantly celebrate that day with gusto. Although since I will be away from work on that day, it will take a certain edge off of my celebration. And I have put your blog on my reader. You have one hell of a place over there. – Evyl

  9. I’m in North Texas now…. was raised in West Texas.

I thought that I noticed a North Texas view from your window on your pic the other day. I’m from the Rolling Plains of West Texas, if you were wondering. – Evyl

  10. Good ‘ol West Texas…. I do not miss the dust storms (do you get the dust storms?) Everytime I go to visit my mom… I am greeted with one!! Nothing like dirt between your teeth πŸ˜†

Yes we do get the dust storms. Not as bad as on top of the Cap but we still get them bad enough. – Evyl

  11. I would not call this tasteless… it has a truth all its own… Perhaps a metaphor? Or a good sense of humor? Haven’t figured it out yet πŸ˜‰

I don’t know that you would call it good humor. Twisted maybe but good would be a stretch. Thanks for dropping by. I always appreciate it. – Evyl

  12. There’s always an evil little twist, isn’t there? πŸ˜‰

    Always. – Evyl

  13. Muah-ha-ha-ha! Ya had me going there, I was like, “What’s gotten into Evyl?” and then, ha! ha! ha!

Glad that you liked it. – Evyl

  14. Another great one! πŸ™‚
And I just want you to know that you should feel special, I haven’t had time to visit anyone blog – but yet I’m here! Feel special, feel really special. πŸ˜‰

You always make me feel special. πŸ˜‰ – Evyl
